Frequently Asked Questions

It is natural to be nervous the first time you come to therapy. During the first session, the clinician will ask you questions about your story. You will be able to proceed at your own pace and comfort level.

Tell your children that we are kind people who help kids with their difficult feelings. We play, we talk and we listen.

We take most insurance plans. You will be responsible for your co-payment at the time of your visit. Please bring your insurance card to the first visit.

If we do not accept your insurance, it may still be possible for you to be reimbursed through your health plan. You should call your insurance plans and ask the following questions:

– Do you reimburse for out of network providers, and if so at what rate?

– How many visits do I have for a year?

Do I have a deductible, and if so how much is my deductible?

– What is my co-payment for mental health visits?

– Will you provide a Special Case Agreement for me to see my therapist?

If your choose to not use your insurance or you have a plan that we do not accept, our rates are:

$250.00 for the initial intake appointment

$220.00 for subsequent appointments

Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We will try to do the same for you. Please understand that when we schedule an appointment we set aside that time only for you. If you do not attend we cannot bill your insurance company and therefore do not get paid. With enough notice we may be able to see another patient at that time. Please be aware that cancellations made in less than 24 hours will be charged the full fee for the appointment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
